Do I need to report an accident if I'm hit by another
driver, and he or she is determined to be at fault?

Yes, and it's important that you do.  Most insurance policies require that you notify your own company when you've been involved in an accident, whether or not you were at fault.  Immediately reporting a claim allows the company to conduct a proper investigation and protect your interests should there be a need for legal representation.
